Azilda Delorme
(1887 - 1911)
She was born on May 7th 1887 in Clarence Creek, Ontario.  Undoubtedly, she moved with her family to Northern Ontario where on August 14th 1905 in Sturgeon Falls, she married Philias Daoust (her sister Oliva married Philias's brother, Albert that same year!).  She died a few years later in 1911 due to childbirth complications when her daughter, Irene was born (August 11th 1911).   Irene spent part of her early childhood living with her grandmother (Elmire Daoust) and her aunt, Oliva.  Philias remarried in 1913 with Regina Potvin.
On this page one finds two early photographs of Azilda.  The one, above was taken in Rockland (near Clarence Creek) around 1898.  On the right, Azilda is pictured with her sisters, Oliva (standing) and Eloise.
