Auguste Daoust
(1873 - 1941)
He was born in St. Albert.  He was married twice: to a Marianne Cyr and to a Josephine Martin.  One of the earliest pioneers of Noelville, he served two terms (1908 & 1909) as councillor for the municipality.  In 1903, Auguste owned a General Store.  He later sold it to his son-in-law, Basile Ganton.  Involved in the logging business, he operated a sawmill in the 1920s in Gogana and worked in the Rivière-Veuve area,   Auguste passed away in 1941 and now rests in the Sturgeon Falls Cemetery.
Il est né à St- Albert.  Il s'est marié à deux reprises soit avec : Marianne Cyr et Joséphine Martin.  Il était connu parmi les premiers pionniers de Noelville. Il a travaillé  en tant que conseiller municipal  durant deux mandats soit en 1908 & 1909. En 1903, Auguste possédait  un magasin général qu'il a revendu à son gendre Basile Ganton. Il  travaillait le bois dans la région de Rivière-Veuve tout en s'occupant du moulin à scie à Gogana dans les années 1920. Il est mort en1941 et repose au cimetière de Sturgeon Falls.
